Britney Spears activist and super fan Cara Crocker started hormone replacement therapy after becoming trans earlier this year , saying she "won't respond to Chris anymore."
C macaw , which is known as the creator of the video "Leave Britney Alone" revealed on Instagram that she began the process this week, writing : "Tomorrow is my appointment for hormone replacement therapy.
“It's been 33 years and I'm happy to be in a place where I can embrace who I am . I have put my identity and personal happiness aside for so long for fear of being rejected or not wanting to embarrass my family.
“Then I realized that anyone who really loves me for me won't be embarrassed and would have shown a genuine interest in how long I've been feeling this way in the first place .
“I am in transition and I have no more excuses for who I am.
“It will be a lonely process in terms of emotional support from others, but I will be happy to know that I am doing this for myself and what I need for my gender dysphoria. "
She added, “As my transition progresses, I won't be responding to Chris. It's Cara . "
Cara also suggested that she also planned to drop her supposed last name, saying, "Crocker was never and is not [actually] my last name to begin with, just a stage name that I had to choose when I received threats online as a teenager.
“I no longer live out of fear or someone else's conditions. "
According to TooFab , her legal last name is Cunningham , and she now goes by Cara Cunningham on Instagram.
In another video posted Tuesday night, Cara could be seen smiling at the camera on Taylor Swift's song “The Man”.
In caption, she wrote: “I should be sleeping but I'm so excited for my HRT appointment in the morning. "
Cara, 33, decided to sell the original "Leave Britney Alone" video as a non-fungible token (NFT) earlier this year, saying she planned to use the money to fund her transition.
“My hope with this NFT offering ending tonight is that I can help take care of my family and if I have enough funds, start my transition,” she explained on Twitter.
According to Pink News , after the auction ended on April 12, the video was fetched 18.6942 ETH, equivalent to over € 40,000 (€ 29,000) in real currency.
