Y: Last Man series trailer brings post-apocalyptic comic to life




 The world becomes unique in the first trailer for FX's upcoming comic book adaptation, Y: The Last Man . The post-apocalyptic tale throws the human race into very difficult circumstances, suddenly wiping out men everywhere, in this series based on Vertigo's post-apocalyptic sci-fi comic series of the same name by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra.



It's no longer a man's world in Y: The Last Man , which focuses on Yorick Brown and his pet, the Capuchin Ape Ampersand, the only males left alive after a mysterious event wiped out all of them. living mammals with a Y chromosome. The series follows Yorick's adventures as he navigates the New World, aligning himself with other survivors, including Agent 355, Yorick's relentless bodyguard, in a fight to keep Yorick safe and restore what was lost.

The trailer sets up the cataclysmic event in much the same way as the source material, with all of the men in the world suddenly succumbing to a brutal, bloody death. While the trailer keeps a lot of things close to the chest, the adaptation seems to have kept the scope and drama of the story alive, with the world devastated and wondering what to do next.

The characters also seem to have been adapted with enough precision, especially in the case of the enigmatic Agent 355, played by Ashley Romans, whose pragmatic approach to the apocalypse and the specific skill set often pushes her to be make your way through the situation.

The struggle to bring a famous comic Y: The Last Man to the screens has been as dramatic as anything featured in Brian K. Vaughan's seminal post-apocalyptic tale, and this new trailer is sure to have fans delighted with it. see the epic tale come to live action. Development for the series began in 2015, with the adaptation losing showrunners, stars Imogen Poots and Lashana Lynch among others, as well as its lead actor in Eternals star Barry Keoghan, who was quickly replaced by Warcraft actor Ben Schnetzer.

The rest of the cast, many of whom are seen in the footage, include Diane Lane as Yorick's mother, Congresswoman Jennifer Brown, Olivia Thirlby as Hero Brown, Yorick's sister, Diana Bang as Dr Allison Mann, Juliana Canfield as Beth DeVille, Marin Ireland as Nora Brady, Amber Tamblyn as Kimberly Cunningham, Paul Gross as President of the United States, and Elliot Fletcher as Sam Jordan.

Rubicon Writer and Animal Kingdom producer Eliza Clark will now serve as showrunner, as well as writing the first two episodes, under the direction of Louise Friedberg. FX has since announced that the entire first season will be directed by women, with the production also having a significant number of female department heads. The FX Productions project is produced by Clark, Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson of Color Force, with Nellie Reed. Mari Jo Winkler-Ioffreda, Vaughan and Melina Matsoukas are executive producers.

Fans of the comic have been patiently waiting for the FX version to arrive on Y: The Last Man for some time, so I hope it was worth it. From the trailer, it looks like it could be. Y: The Last Man is set to debut on FX on Hulu next month on September 13.

Tesla Cybertruck production postponed to 2022: here's confirmation from Tesla
